SV Consulting Group takes its name from Sequoia Sempervirens, the species of towering Redwood trees that have flourished for thousands of years in the Pacific Northwest.

Sempervirens comes from the Latin semper meaning "always" and virens meaning "thriving". These epic giants embody our mission to bring continuous growth and flourishing to your organization.

WES ADAMS, CEO

Wes Adams is the Founder and CEO of SV Consulting Group, a positive psychology-based leadership development and organizational design firm. He is a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania’s Positive Psychology Center and co-author of the best-selling book Meaningful Work: How to Ignite Passion and Performance in Every Employee (PublicAffairs/Hachette), which was named a Best Leadership Book of 2025 by Fast Company.

Wes works with emerging and established C-suite and senior leaders to drive peak performance, develop organizational agility, and build teams that thrive through growth, change, and adversity. Current clients include Microsoft, KPMG, BlackRock, KKR, and Paramount, along with a range of scaling companies and NGOs. Wes is also a Master Facilitator for the Penn Resilience Program, the world’s leading provider of resilience skills for business, healthcare, government, military, and law enforcement.

Wes has been a featured speaker at South by Southwest and the Nobel Peace Prize Forum. He regularly speaks to corporate audiences around the world. His work has been covered by the New York Times, BBC News, Forbes, Business Insider, MIT Sloan Management Review, and Inc. Wes has led teams winning multiple Webby Awards and recognition as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Brands.

Prior to founding SV, Wes advised organizations such as Google, Audi, Starbucks, and the United Nations at Purpose, the world’s leading social impact agency. His early career was spent launching and managing high-profile hospitality businesses for which he was nominated twice for a coveted James Beard Award.

Wes is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and holds a Master’s of Applied Positive Psychology from University of Pennsylvania.
