THE CHALLENGE
To meet the evolving needs of their leaders in a rapidly changing global market, BlackRock needed to redesign their marquee people leader development program, Managing @ BlackRock. This required updating the program for the realities of hybrid work and cross-generational leadership, ensuring scalability to reach all 6,000 people leaders globally. In addition, the program had to align with BlackRock's unique culture and language to drive engagement and adoption.
OUR WORK
Partnering closely with the Global Learning and Development team, we redesigned BlackRock’s core people manager training program to meet the needs of the rapidly changing business environment. We combined the strongest elements of their existing content with new evidence-based tools focused on leading through change, building psychological safety, and fostering global collaboration and high performance. The result was a powerful, interactive two-day workshop tailored to BlackRock’s unique culture and needs.
To ensure global impact, we piloted the program across North America, EMEA, and APAC. Using participant feedback, we refined the program and trained facilitators to deliver it consistently across BlackRock's worldwide offices.
TRANSFORMATIVE RESULTS
The program has already made a significant impact, with over 1,000 BlackRock leaders participating in more than 40 sessions. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive: 98% of participants agree that the program has equipped them to be great people managers.
We are currently working to bring this program to all 6,000 of BlackRock's people leaders globally.
